A thermal protector is a combination of two different alloys that generate heat after passing through an electric current. Due to the different thermal expansion coefficients of the two different alloys, the alloys are bound to bend in one direction, causing the contacts to leave and cutting off electricity. What are the precautions for installing thermal protectors?
1. When bending the lead wire, it should be bent from the component at a distance of more than 6 millimeters from the root; When bending, do not damage the roots and leads, and do not forcefully pull, press, or twist the leads.
When the thermal protector is fixed by screws, riveting, or wiring terminals, it should be able to prevent mechanical creep and the occurrence of poor contact.
3. The connecting components should be able to work reliably within the working range of the electrical product, without displacement due to vibration and impact.
When conducting wire welding operations, the heating humidity should be kept at a low level, and high temperatures should not be applied to the thermal fuse; Do not forcefully pull, press, or twist the thermal fuse and lead wires; After welding, it should be immediately cooled for more than 30 seconds.
5. The thermal protector can only be used under the specified rated voltage, current, and specified temperature conditions, especially paying attention to the temperature that the thermal fuse can withstand continuously. Note: The nominal current, lead length, and temperature can be designed according to customer requirements.
